Health and fitness have been a life long passion for me
ever since I did my first gym workout while at secondary
school. I remember how great it made me feel afterwards.
From then on I never looked back. I was hooked! I loved
training and it was to be an essential part of my life.
After leaving the police service in 1995, I decided to pursue
a career in the fitness industry and during 1996-97 achieved
an NVQ LEVEL 2 in sport and recreation including gym instructor
award and RSA exercise to music (aerobics instructor) award.
After working as a pool lifeguard, duty manager and fitness
class instructor at Streatham Pool south London for 2 years,
I went on to become a full time fitness consultant for Harpers
Fitness at Flax Man Sport Centre South London. In 2000 I
joined L.A Fitness and began work as a senior instructor/personal
trainer and enjoyed great success with my clients one-to-one
and in fitness classes, which included "Spinning",
"Tighter assets" and "Aqua aerobics".
In November 2002 I decided to take a brief career break
and went on to complete my studies at The American College
Of Sports Medicine (ACSM) achieving their coveted and worldwide
recognised Health & Fitness Specialist Certification,
the International Gold Standard.
